2024 Spring Baseball Information

East Side Families:

Get ready for the upcoming 2024 baseball season!

Spring registration begins Tuesday, December 12, at 6am on the East Side Baseball website.

To ensure an improved experience, East Side Baseball is placing limits on the number of players in each league. With high demand expected, we encourage you to register as soon as possible. Once a league reaches its capacity, wait lists will be created and players are not guaranteed a spot on a spring team.

The decision to cap teams and players is in response to valuable feedback from our families about the need for more practice opportunities and player development. By controlling registration numbers, teams will now have weekly practice slots alongside scheduled games.

Also new this season:

Participation in Braves Country Baseball

5U-12U players will receive a swag bag from the Braves to celebrate the team’s new summer baseball league (Bag will include a Braves hat, cooling towel, patch, welcome letter, access to Braves training videos, and more)

Enjoy a welcome video from Braves legend Dale Murphy

Practice and Lessons at D-Bat Marietta

Each East Side player will receive a free card for 75 swings in the DBAT batting cages and a complimentary DBAT lesson

DBAT is also providing 1 free cage rental for all coaches, a league-wide “Hit Night” (batting cages and instructional clinics), and discounts on team pitching/hitting lessons

The return of the Fullers Park turf field

After a fall season without turf access, games and practices will be hosted there this spring, providing flexibility for rainouts and more field availability

New LED lights for all fields

The county is expected to begin work in January and finish in time for Opening Day

Shetland will be split into 5U and 6U

Pinto will be a combined league (no red-blue split)

Mark your calendar for these important dates:
December 12: Registration opens at 6am (open until all spots are filled)
January 4: Late Fees applied to Registration
January 27: Spring Evaluations
Week of January 29: Team selections and practices begin
March 2: Opening Day
March 29-April 7: Spring break (no games)
May 4: Beginning of season-ending tournament
May 16-23: Championship and All-Star Games
