Dear East Side Families:

What a great Opening Day! The games were exciting. The players were smiling. And those jerseys look great!

Plus, just like on Evaluation Day, Mother Nature gave us cooler weather and kept the rain at bay.

SAFETY CONCERNS

This first weekend of games reminded me of a few things to keep in mind as we keep our families safe.

• There is NO PARKING at the cages near Pony, Bronco, and Shetland fields
  • Please keep your vehicle in the main parking lot
    • The cage area is very congested with players from four leagues, including our youngest kids
  • Do not drive down the hill to the cages, even if you’re dropping off people or equipment
  • This road is ONLY available for emergency vehicles
    
    
• There is NO PUBLIC PARKING behind the Pinto/Mustang concession stand
  • This area is reserved for concession stand staff

WORK UNDERWAY ON MUSTANG

Cobb County arrived bright and early this morning to begin the Mustang Field turf project. Fences will come down and dirt will be removed. The process will take several months.

• Please keep your children away from the construction area.
  • A section of the Pinto/Mustang parking lot will be closed to store equipment.

Now that Mustang is closed, the field shuffle is underway. Mustang will play Mondays at Terrell Mill and Tuesday on the Pinto Field. Pinto will play some games on the Shetland Field in the middle of the week.

I know that this schedule is different and will bring some challenges. Thank you for your flexibility and patience. We’re excited to turf Mustang, and I’m grateful that the entire league has come together to find creative ways to host games for all leagues.
